Ces baraquements font partie du patrimoine et sont la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 du Conservatoire de l\u2019Espace Littoral, qui en a assur\u00e9 la restauration en 1993. Il nous permet d\u2019occuper les lieux, et en contrepartie, nous assumons le suivi et le maintien en bon \u00e9tat des locaux. Les baraques en bois qui subsistent \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle proviennent de l\u2019ancien camp d\u2019internement install\u00e9 sur l\u2019Ile Longue de 1914 \u00e0 1920. Elles furent achet\u00e9es et reconstruites en 1922 par les fr\u00e8res Stipon pour y installer leur chantier.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours de la deuxi\u00e8me guerre mondiale, le Fret est occup\u00e9 par les Allemands qui r\u00e9quisitionnent les baraques et en font en une vaste zone sanitaire. Dans l\u2019une d\u2019elles, on trouve trace d\u2019une aquarelle dessin\u00e9e durant cette p\u00e9riode, mais le temps a fait son \u0153uvre.
